Instructions for Authors

We plan to publish conference proceedings containing peer-reviewed papers and abstracts of non-reviewed presentations. There will be two proceedings volumes, one in printed form and the other online. Each will be assigned its own ISBN, and peer-reviewed papers will be assessed by two independent reviewers. Accepted peer-reviewed papers will be published in full.

Peer-reviewed Papers

Papers may be written in Slovak, Czech, or English; Polish is also accepted. The maximum length of a paper for the printed proceedings is 8–10 pages (an even number of pages). For the online version, papers may be extended to a reasonable number of pages (max. 20–24). We accept only papers prepared in .

Templates for Writing Papers

You can download the templates for peer-reviewed papers here. The templates are available as archive files:

In the ZIP archive you will find brief instructions, a style file, a conference banner, and a sample document. The banner oss-konf.png and the style file oss-conf.cls must be unpacked into the same working directory in which you will prepare the paper itself. For the review process, please send the output in .pdf format together with the source .tex file and, of course, all required attached files, such as images, source codes, etc. After incorporating any comments from the reviewers, please send the final version of the paper in the same way. If the banner is not up to date, do not worry; the editor will insert the correct one into the paper.

Non-reviewed Contributions

Please send the abstracts of non-reviewed presentations as plain text in UTF-8 encoding to the proceedings editor. In the text document, please provide the following on separate lines:

  • Title of the contribution
  • Name of the author or authors

This is followed by the abstract itself, with a length of 500 to 1000 words.

The deadline for submitting abstracts for OSSConf 2027 is 20 June 2027.
